3 aerospace education members selected for Teachers in Space program

July 23, 2009

NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS -- Three Civil Air Patrol aerospace education members -- Maureen Louis Adams, an elementary school principal in Lampasas, Texas; James Kuhl, a middle school teacher in Syracuse, N.Y.; and Chantelle Rose, a high school teacher in St. Paris, Ohio -- are among the seven educators selected by the nonprofit Teachers in Space organization for a planned half-hour trip into space in two to four years, the Oakland Tribune reports. Rose, who was honored as the 2008 Scott Crossfield Teacher of the Year, is also profiled in the Springfield News-Sun in connection with the Teachers in Space announcement, while Kuhn is the focus of a Syracuse Post-Standard feature.
