Hot AU A4/6 News: ECI-00013 Course Registration Suspension Notice

For newly registered students: If you have received a post card from AU A4/6 indicating that ECI-00013 has been suspended, what this means is that they have temporarily run out of ECI materials to send out and have temporarily suspended your registration until the materials arrive for distribution. When the materials arrive, they will immediately mail them out to you and assign a new registration date consistent with the date that the materials were mailed out to you. AU A4/6 regrets any inconvenience this delay may cause and is very appreciative of your patience.

Hot AU A4/6 News:  Notice for Scheduled Down Time

DEERS is scheduled to be offline starting Friday, 14 August at 1900 CDT until Sunday, 16 August at 1900 CDT. They anticipate additional down time will be needed for one additional weekend, likely 22-23 August, but they will be in a better position to provide that information after the weekend of 14 August. This outage will impact creation of accounts on the Air University Portal and new enrollments in AWC and ACSC.

How to Complete AU A4/6 Courses
Students can complete AU A4/6 courses at their own pace and study independently, or in a study group with other CAP members.  To maintain test security, study groups are limited to students currently enrolled in the course.  Students must complete the course within the prescribed time limit, which is generally one year.  See AU A4/6's website for more information about time limits and extensions at http://www.au.af.mil/au/afiadl/curriculum/course.htm

How AU A4/6 Announces Test Results
AU A4/6 grades all tests and mails test scores to the address provided on the AU Form 23 according to its published guidelines.  If the test is failed, AU A4/6 will automatically send another exam for a re-test to the wing headquarters (as long as your course time has not expired), along with a post card to the address on the AU Form 23.  The post card will list the areas the student needs to study before retaking the end of course exam.

How to Record Course Completion
AU A4/6 will send the student a postcard, AU A4/6 Form 9, which is the official documentation of course completion.  The student must present the AU A4/6 Form 9 (Post Card) to the Unit Test Control Officer, who will update the member’s CAP Form 45b, Senior Member Professional Development Record, or CAP Form 66, Cadet Master Record.

AU A4/6 does NOT notify HQ CAP of all course completions.  AU A4/6 sends a monthly completion report only for the CAP Senior Officer Course (00013) covering the previous month.  National Headquarters only records the CAP Senior Officer Course, Squadron Officer School , Air Command and Staff College , and Air War College in the data base at this time.  If one of these courses is not listed in the national database then please send a copy of your AU A4/6 Form 9 or diploma to the address, fax, or e-mail below, so the National Headquarters Registrar can update the record in the CAP national database:
