THE CIVIL AIR PATROL INSPECTOR GENERAL SENIOR LEVEL TRAINING


A Civil Air Patrol Inspector General Senior Level Training Course is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, 14-15 April 2011.  The training is scheduled immediately preceding the Texas Wing Conference in Addison, TX.  Non-comuting students should plan to arrive on Wednesday, 13 April.  Sign-in will be Thursday morning at 0730 at the class site.  Classes will be all day Thursday and will be released by 1700 on Friday.


Cost:  There will be a $40 associated with this course.


Billeting:  Lodging will be at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum Hotel, 14901 Dallas Parkway in Addison, TX, which is the site of the Texas Wing Conference.  The CAP rate is $79/night.  Attendees need to call the hotel at (972) 661-2800 to make reservations.  Reference the group number "CAP TXWG Conference" when making reservations.  Twenty rooms will be held by the hotel for this activity until 24 March 2011.


Directions:  The hotel/class site is on the west side of the Dalls North Parkway about two blocks south of Belt-Line Road.  From I-635 (LBJ Freeway) take exit 22C onto the Dalls North Parkway, northbound.  The Belt-Line Road exit is approximately 2 miles north of I-635.  After exiting at Belt-Line Road, cross over the Parkway and proceed south on the Parkway's service road.  The hotel will be on the right.


Student Requirements:
Space is limited.  All applicants must be current members of Civil Air Patrol.  Applications will be accepted in the following priority:

  1. Applicants assigned as Wing or Region Inspectors General or assistants.
  2. Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Commanders
  3. Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Vice-Commanders or Chiefs of Staff.
  4. Applicants assigned as Legal Officers.
  5. Other interested members with the approval of the CAP/IGT.
  6. Members of Southwest Region will have priority over all others.

Uniform Requirements:
AF blue shirt with or without a tie or CAP aviator shirt with or without a tie worn in accordance with CAPM 39-1.  Laptop computers are encouraged, but not required.
