THE CIVIL AIR PATROL INSPECTOR GENERAL SENIOR LEVEL TRAINING


A Civil Air Patrol Inspector General Senior Level Training Course is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, 24-25 April 2010.  The training is scheduled for the New Mexico Wing HQ on Kirtland AFB, in Albuquerque, NM.  Non-comuting students should plan to arrive on Friday, 23 April.  Sign-in will be Saturday morning at 0730 at the class site.  Classes will be all day Saturday and will be released by 1700 on Sunday.


Cost:  There will be a $15 charge associated with this course payable at sign-in.


Billeting:  Billeting will be at the Kirtland Inn, which is the billeting facility on the base.  The room rate is $39.00 per night (below O-6).  Those wishing on-base accomodations should advise the Registrar when signing up for the course.  DO NOT CALL THE KIRTLAND INN DIRECTLY.


Meals:  The base dining hall will be available to the students.  The dining hall takes cash only for payment.  Meals may also be taken at the BX Food Court, the Subway shop across the street from the Wing HQ, or off base. 


Directions:  Students should plan on entering the base through the Truman Street gate, which is approximately 2 miles east of I-25 exit 222.  Those driving a POV or a CAP vehicle will need their CAP ID card as well as a picture ID. 


Student Requirements:
  Space is limited.  All applicants must be current members of Civil Air Patrol.  Applications will be accepted in the following priority:

  1. Applicants assigned as Wing or Region Inspectors General or assistants.
  2. Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Commanders
  3. Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Vice-Commanders or Chiefs of Staff.
  4. Applicants assigned as Legal Officers.
  5. Other interested members with the approval of the CAP/IGT.
  6. Members of Southwest Region will have priority over all others.


Uniform Requirements:
AF blue shirt with or without a tie or CAP aviator shirt with or without a tie or dark blue golf shirt worn in accordance with CAPM 39-1.  Laptop computers are encouraged, but not required.
