Tips/Reminders:
Jackets probably will not be necessary in June, but if you do wear the Air Force style jacket, you must zip it at least 2/3 of the way up (even if worn inside the building)
Hats are required outdoors when wearing the Air Force Style uniform
Salutes – are to be rendered outside to all higher-ranking Civil Air Patrol and Air Force members. Return all salutes made to you by lower-ranking Civil Air Patrol and Air Force members. Also be aware of and salute all staff cars portraying the silver stars of a General or the silver eagle of a Colonel.
If you are in uniform indoors when the National Anthem is played, stand at attention; do not salute and do not place your hand over your heart. If you are outdoors and hear the National Anthem played (usually at 1630 or 1700 hours) stand at attention and face the direction of the music. Salute if you are in uniform or place your hand over your heart if you are not in uniform.
Use of BX/Clothing Sales/Commissary:
Generally speaking, members may make purchases in Clothing Sales with a valid CAP ID card (the clerk may also ask you for an additional ID with your picture on it).
The Commissary and Base Exchange are normally off-limits to other than Air Force members. If there are changes we will get that word out via the Website and at registration
You must be an active Air Force member in order to drive an Air Force government vehicle. Only CAP members who have CAP licenses (CAPF 75) are permitted to drive CAP corporate vehicles.
