General Courter wishes to better articulate the desired relationship between Cadet Programs and DDR. She's also announcing two new annual activities designed to bring DDR and Cadet Programs closer together. The attached memo explains the details. We ask everyone in the cadet community to spread the word and do what they can to support Gen Courter's vision.

The R20-1 Cadet/Composite Org Chart does not include a Director of Cadet Programs and does not need SUI and in fact position is only at Region and Wing w/Group simply Cadet Programs Officer. Perhaps org chart needs a look. DDR Officer is necessary to get good anti-drug message out. It is sadly missing from our schools so a Red Ribbon Leadership Day will give us a new foot in the door.
The DDR Program is a very important part of Cadet Programs. It similarly to Character Development teaches how important a correct decision making process is. It is difficult to reach your goals and dreams if you make poor decisions that move you away from those goals and dreams. Of course "drug abuse" takes you in the wrong direction to reach your dreams! Drugs abuse, the dream killer.
I came up through the Cadet Programs and learning how to make good decisions in a neighborhood filled with drug dealers has helped me. I used to hide but CAP's DDR Program taught me how to say NO and teach my friends the same
The DDR program can assist you in your communities. Great reference for grants, sponsors, fund raising, recruiting and retention. So join DDR's Search and Rescue mission, join us is searching out our communities and rescue them by teaching leadership in making the responsible choice.
This is a great Idea IMO. We should teach our cadets that a drug free life can take you far in life. Thumbs up for taking a step forward
