AF Civil Engineering Academy

Age Requirement:    Must be at least 15 by the start of the activity


Red Horse.  It’s the most heavily armed engineering force in the U.S. Air Force, an “engineering SWAT Team,” ready to build, repair, and defend bases in austere locations during wartime.

If you’re interested in learning about Air Force civil engineering, heavy equipment, AutoCAD, robotics, construction, demolitions, and what it takes to construct an airfield from scratch, this activity is for you.

Cadet Red Horse will include hands-on activities, simulations, opportunities for career shadowing with Air Force officers and NCOs, and more. There also will be an academic element introducing cadets to the math, science, and technology at work in the field of engineering.

If you’re an aspiring engineer, or if you’re curious about engineering-related opportunities for enlisted members of the Air Force, prepare for Cadet Red Horse.
