All CAP materials can be easily adapted for specific grade levels and are well integrated with other academic disciplines.  CAP AE materials are aligned with national academic standards. 

Elementary School Products

Middle School Products

CAP offers comprehensive, themed study units on aviation and space topics. Each unit contains background information, teaching suggestions, lesson plans, student tests and test keys, completion certificate, and several posters or other visuals. These units are interdisciplinary and include activities for English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Health, Art, Music, and others.  The following sample AE materials are availble to download free of charge.  FREE printed packages of these products and additional AE resources are available on E-services for members.

High School Products

Several of the comprehensive study units listed for Middle School can be easily adapted for High School students.

Classroom Activities in Aerodynamics – tied to National Standards. Another outstanding lesson by Dr. Charley Rodriguez from Southern Illinois University---includes several hands-on activities.

Lesson on Newton’s Laws as they apply to Air-Powered Rockets. Complete instructions on how to build paper and plastic bottle rockets. Includes numerous math, physics, and basic science applications. Written by Dr. Charley Rodriguez, Ph.D. and Jim Raynovic. Both are Assistant Professors of Aviation Technology at Southern Illinois University.
